Crash involving 2 semis reduces I-24 to one lane in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A crash involving two semi-trucks has reduced the westbound lanes of Interstate 24 to one lane, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT).

TDOT said the crash happened on I-24 westbound just past the Shelby Avenue overpass.

UPDATE (2:30p): We’re back to only one lane as crews work on recovery.

Hazmat was called to the scene to pump the trucks’ fuel tanks as the semis cannot be moved without emptying due to the risk of a large fuel spill, TDOT said…
