Metro Nashville’s Chief Drake promotes eight veterans, fills precinct supervisor vacancies

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Metro Police Chief John Drake announced a new slate of leadership promotions aimed at strengthening supervision across multiple precincts, elevating eight department veterans to fill key vacancies effective June 16:

James Caruth, an 18-year MNPD veteran, was promoted to lieutenant and will lead the West Precinct’s overnight shift. Caruth previously served as a supervisor at the Midtown Hills Precinct.

Shaun Heath, a 16-year MNPD veteran, was promoted to lieutenant and will lead the Midtown Hills Precinct’s evening shift. Heath holds a bachelor’s degree from Bethel University and previously served as a supervisor in the Behavioral Health Services Division…
