Multi-Agency Pursuit Through La Vergne, Smyrna, and Murfreesboro Ends in Cannon County

CANNON COUNTY, Tenn. (WGNS News) – A police pursuit that took place on Wednesday in both Smyrna and La Vergne, wrapped up with an arrest in nearby Cannon County. The man accused of driving a stolen vehicle involved in the earlier police pursuits in North Rutherford County was taken into custody Wednesday after a multi-agency chase that ended near the Rutherford County line, according to the Cannon County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities said dispatch notified the Cannon County Sheriff’s Office and the Woodbury Police Department on June 17, 2026, that a stolen vehicle reported by Metro Nashville Police was being driven by Tyler Beasley. Deputies were also told the vehicle had been involved in pursuits in Smyrna and La Vergne, and that Beasley had active felony warrants.

Murfreesboro Police later advised that the vehicle was last seen traveling toward Cannon County on John Bragg Highway…
