GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Shoppers walked through nearly empty aisles Sunday as JCPenney opened its doors for the final time at RiverGate Mall, marking the end of another chapter for the once-bustling shopping center.
Many customers came looking for last-minute deals. Others came simply to take one final look inside one of the mall’s last remaining anchor stores.
“We’re going to miss it,” said Mika Settles, who stopped by on the store’s final day. “We wanted to come on the last day just to get the last feel of it.”…
