Williamson County Schools superintendent steps down as board member calls out ‘toxic’ individuals who didn’t support him

WILLIAMSON CO., Tenn. (WSMV) – The superintendent of Williamson County Schools is stepping down, board of education members said Tuesday.

Jason Golden wrote his resignation in a note to staff members Tuesday, saying, “This decision was not an easy one.”

“I have truly valued my time in this district and the opportunity to work alongside such dedicated, passionate and talented educators and staff,” he wrote. “Together, we have made meaningful progress on behalf of our students, and I will always be grateful for the relationships we have built and the work we have accomplished.”…
