NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A new study published in JAMA Network Open found that women taking active hormone birth control pills reported higher levels of emotional eating than when they were taking inactive or placebo pills.
Researchers examined data from 422 women using combined oral contraceptives, commonly known as birth control pills, and tracked their eating behaviors over 49 consecutive days. The study was published June 17 and analyzed data collected between 2017 and 2024.
