NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man has been charged after allegedly reporting that a bomb was going to detonate in Nashville, prompting a large law enforcement response.
According to arrest documents, on April 12, 2026, emergency dispatchers from Eaton County, Michigan contacted the Metro Nashville Emergency Communications Center to report that security staff at a General Motors plant in Lansing, Michigan received a call from a phone number with a 615 area code who stated there was a bomb in a Nashville UPS building that was going to “blow up the whole city.” The caller reportedly said there would be a bombing, shooting and other destruction in Nashville.

Documents said the report led to a large-scale Metro police response at UPS locations across Davidson County. Officers searched for suspicious activity and devices, but no credible threat was found.
