Sen. Blackburn’s campaign draws donations from AI and data center employees, records show

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — New campaign finance filings are providing a closer look at who is helping fund Tennessee’s race for governor.

Records show Sen. Marsha Blackburn’s campaign has received more than $100,000 this year from employees of artificial intelligence and data center companies, including Anthropic and Oracle. Many of the donors listed in the filings live outside of Tennessee.

According to the campaign finance reports, employees of Anthropic contributed $53,000 to Blackburn’s campaign over the span of just a few days. The filings also show more than $50,000 in contributions from Oracle employees, including the company’s chairman.

The donations come as Oracle continues to move forward with plans for a campus in Nashville and as Blackburn has voiced support for the growth of data centers in Tennessee…
