NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A repeat roadside solicitor is back in jail for a scam he’s been accused of pulling in Nashville for more than a decade.
Metro police arrested 59-year-old Paul Aniel Sunday after receiving a call about a person stopping traffic to ask for gas money.

When officers arrived, they spotted Aniel on the roadway with a stopped vehicle. The driver told investigators Aniel had stopped him and asked for money.
Metro police determined Aniel’s actions were a danger to himself and others on the road, and began to approach him. Aniel ran away toward a car, but it drove off without him.
Aniel was booked into Metro jail late Sunday morning. He was charged with five misdemeanors, including controlled access violation, pedestrian soliciting, evading arrest, aggressive panhandling, and obstructing a passageway. His bond was set at $7,000…
