Nashville Man Arrested After Thousands Of Child‑Abuse Files Found

Metro Nashville police arrested a 30-year-old Nashville man Friday after forensic work allegedly uncovered thousands of child sexual abuse files on devices seized from his home. Jonathan Hite was booked into the Downtown Detention Center and remains jailed, according to public records, wrapping up an 11-month Metro Nashville Police Department investigation into suspected online exploitation.

Arrest and charges

According to WKRN, investigators took Hite into custody at his Old Hickory Boulevard home and charged him with one felony count of sexual exploitation of a minor that alleges possession of more than 100 items. The station reports that the charge followed a lengthy probe led by the Special Victims Division and the Internet Crimes Against Children units. Police have not shared additional information about any alleged victims or released a court date.

Davidson County booking records show Hite was taken into custody Friday afternoon and admitted to the downtown jail, where he remains held pending court proceedings. The county’s public inmate listing displays his name along with an admission time for the Downtown Detention Center.
