Tennessee WARN Notices Near 6,000 Workers Affected as More Layoffs Announced

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WOKI / WVLT) — Nearly 6,000 Tennessee workers have now been impacted by Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification, or WARN, notices filed across the state in 2026, according to data posted by state officials.

Since late June, six additional WARN notices have been filed, affecting another 981 workers and bringing the year’s total to at least 5,982 employees facing layoffs or workplace closures.

WARN notices are required under federal law when employers plan significant layoffs or facility closures, providing advance notice to workers and state agencies.

New August Layoff Notices Filed

Among the newest notices posted in August are:

  • Resource Label (Williamson County): 68 workers affected, layoffs scheduled for Oct. 3.
  • TikTok USDS JV (Davidson County): 250 workers affected as the company plans to close its Nashville office on Oct. 5.
  • Wellpath (Shelby County): 119 workers affected, with layoffs scheduled for Sept. 30.

The TikTok filing represents one of the largest recent notices and follows the company’s decision to shut down its Nashville operation as part of an effort to streamline business operations.
