Woman claims she was intentionally hit by driver while riding electric scooter in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A driver was arrested after he allegedly struck a woman Sunday on a city scooter in the Gulch area.

According to an arrest affidavit from the Metro Nashville Police Department, officers were dispatched to Old Division Street and 8th Avenue South for reports of a pedestrian crash.

They arrived to find a woman suffering from minor injuries to her right leg, left foot and one of her hands. She told the officers that she was operating a city scooter when 42-year-old Abulkarim Abdul hit her with his white Toyota Prius from behind. The woman said Abdul then began yelling at her, drove up onto the sidewalk, and hit her again with his car, the affidavit states…
