A traffic stop in La Vergne led to two arrests after police say they found a handgun equipped with a suspected machine gun conversion device, marijuana and Percocet pills.
An officer attempted to stop a vehicle near Tom Hailey Boulevard and La Vergne Lane after seeing it traveling 45 mph in a 25 mph zone. Police said the driver initially failed to stop and continued through a residential area before eventually pulling over near Shannon Lane.
