HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WHLT) – The ex-boyfriend of a Mississippi woman who was killed after he was released on bond from Nashville has pleaded guilty to her death.
According to court documents, Bricen Rivers pled guilty to capital murder in the death of Lauren Johansen on August 28, 2026. He was sentenced to life in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC).
