NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – If you’re waiting on that first blast of fall air, you’ll have to keep waiting. Stubborn summer heat is locked in across Middle Tennessee, with highs hovering in the 90s for the next several days and no signs of cooler autumn weather on the horizon.
Spotty showers and thunderstorms that popped up Saturday afternoon are staying focused mainly east of the Nashville-Metro, and activity will dwindle heading into the overnight hours as drier air settles in.
