Budding stand-up comic and Lebanon native Gibson Carney reflects on his schooldays, saying, “I was mostly just making funny faces back then.”
On Monday, Sept. 21 he makes his Nateland Live debut at Zanies Comedy Night Club in Nashville. Zanies declares it to be “Good, Clean, Funny.” The jokes from the comedians in the lineup that night will be primarily clean, observational Southern-friendly comedy rather than the edgier material.
Carney, 29 and a 2015 graduate of Wilson Central High School, said he got the Nateland Live gig through “a little bit of luck, a lot of hard work and a family connection. I’m more excited than I can begin to express. Growing up as a Nashville kid, being able to go to the biggest comedy club in Nashville is a dream come true.”…
