NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Thousands of customers were without power in Nashville Saturday morning, with South Nashville bearing the brunt of the impact.
An outage of approximately 6,600 customers was reported to Nashville Electric Service at about 11:22 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19.
New Nashville developments could be required to bury power lines
NES told News 2 that crews are investigating a tripped breaker that resulted in an outage at a local substation. NES later clarified that a crow got into the substation and caused the outage.
