NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Officials are working to identify a driver who died following a crash along Interstate 40 near Bellevue Friday morning.
The single-vehicle crash was reported just after 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, on I-40 West.

A Tennessee Department of Transportation spokesperson announced at 11:30 a.m. that I-40 West was blocked near mile marker 194 due to a crash. The westbound lanes didn’t fully reopen until shortly before 2:15 p.m.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the investigation shows a red Mazda SUV hit the median wall, crossed the westbound lanes, and ran off the road into a tree line…
