NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Dolly Parton’s story will soon be shared in New York City through “DOLLY: A True Original Musical.” However, the show — which tells the legendary Tennessean’s tale “in her own words and through the songs that shaped her life” — already made its onstage debut in Nashville last summer.
The musical first premiered in Nashville on Aug. 8, 2025 — just over a year before Parton passed away at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center at the age of 80 following a brief battle with cancer — at Belmont University’s Fisher Center for the Performing Arts…
