On Sept. 30, the Transportation Project Board (TPB) of the Greater Nashville Regional Council (GNRC) of municipal mayors voted to update the state’s Transportation Improvement Plan. The plan now includes funding to widen Interstate 65 between the I-840 interchange south of Franklin and the SR-396 to south Spring Hill.
“[We] allocated $150,000,000 to adding lanes to I-65 between Saturn Parkway and I-840,” announced Spring Hill Mayor Matt Fitterer, a member of the Transportation Project Board. “The project is now fully funded through construction.”…
