Thousands of people are expected to visit Nashville this weekend for homecoming celebrations at Tennessee State University and Vanderbilt University, but a major interstate closure could complicate travel plans.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation will close Interstate 65 in both directions between the Interstate 40 and Interstate 440 interchanges starting Friday, Oct. 16, at 8 p.m. The interstate is scheduled to reopen Monday, Oct. 19, at 5 a.m.
