FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) – Izzy’s Feel Good Food is the culmination of a dream for Brad Bittermann and Marissa Pezely. The couple has worked in hospitality for decades and moved from Las Vegas to Nashville to raise their family.
During the beginning of the pandemic, they both were furloughed and decided to open their own restaurant in Franklin. So in 2020, they opened Izzy’s Feel Good Food.
The restaurant is named after their daughter and their son created the children’s menu. They’ve served Franklin in many different ways, employing many first time job seekers and helping give the community a place to enjoy.

After years of developing themselves as a neighborhood eatery, they are now closing their doors. They attribute this to rising food prices and higher employee wages.
“It’s been a struggle,” Bittermann said. “We all know restaurants have been a tough business always, and I think the biggest thing that contributed to the lack of overall success is labor costs.”
