GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A second suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the death of a 17-year-old who was shot during a home invasion in Goodlettsville earlier this month.
Ra’King Hammonds died after two masked individuals, armed with AR-style weapons, entered an apartment at the Retreat at Dry Creek Farms on Friday, Jan. 19 and opened fire.
On Thursday, Jan. 25, detectives told News 2 a 15-year-old was arrested in connection with the home invasion. There is no word on that suspect’s identity or the charges against them.
Memorial held for 17-year-old killed in Goodlettsville home invasion
A second suspect, 19-year-old Terry Richardson was taken into custody on Saturday, Jan. 27. According to an affidavit, Richardson was identified by a juvenile who was also shot multiple times during the home invasion, but survived.
That victim told officers Richardson had been in the apartment earlier in the evening before he came back and opened fire.
