120K fentanyl pills, 28 pounds of meth found after I-24 traffic stop

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A massive drug bust spanning multiple states has resulted in three arrests and 120,000 fentanyl pills being seized.

According to an arrest report, several agencies including the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) and the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) received information on Monday, Jan. 29 about a rental vehicle that was transporting a large quantity of narcotics from Los Angeles to Nashville.

Authorities seize over 400 pounds of methamphetamine as result of investigation

Agents established a perimeter in the eastbound lanes of I-24 at approximately 7 a.m. to find the rental vehicle, which was described as a white Nissan Rogue bearing a Florida license plate.

The Nissan was reportedly spotted by agents at 8:30 a.m. on I-24 near Exit 1, according to an arrest report.

Metro police initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle at approximately 9:15 a.m. and observed at three people inside.
