She wants a ticket to anywhere.
Tracy Chapman, 59, took to the Grammys 2024 stage on Sunday night to perform her hit song “Fast Car” with country singer Luke Combs, 33.
Before the performance Combs spoke about his love of the original version, explaining that it was his “favorite song before I even knew what a favorite song was.”
Taylor Swift and Brandi Carlile stood the entire time Chapman and Combs graced the stage, and a boisterous standing ovation from the crowd met the performance’s conclusion.
It was her first big performance in four years — as Chapman’s last significant public performance was the night before the 2020 presidential election on “Late Night With Seth Meyers” to perform “Talkin’ ‘Bout a Revolution.”
