Woman killed after being struck by vehicle at South Nashville intersection

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A woman has died after she was hit by a vehicle early Wednesday morning at an intersection in South Nashville, officials said.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD), the crash happened shortly after 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Harding Place and Linbar Drive on Wednesday, Feb. 7.

According to MNPD, the woman was walking and pushing a bicycle when was hit by a box truck and sustained “life-threatening injuries.”

Authorities reported the woman — who has not been identified — later died from her injuries.

The driver of the box truck remained on scene and could be facing several charges, police said.

No other information was immediately released.
