As the victim was running, she saw the suspect and thought he was trying to talk with her, so she stopped. That’s when the suspect allegedly grabbed her, put her in a chokehold, and then threw her into a fence, causing her to fall to the ground. He then got on top of her and held her down before a witness intervened and pulled him away, according to investigators.
The suspect then ran away.
Authorities described the suspect as a middle-aged man with facial hair and tan skin. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and dark slipper type shoes.
Prior to the attack, police said he was seen walking away from a nearby homeless camp.
