NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A convicted armed robber is back in jail after running from a carjacked sedan at an apartment complex on Welshwood Drive in South Nashville.
The Metro Nashville Police Department said 27-year-old Manolito Jemison was carrying a loaded semi-automatic pistol when he was arrested Wednesday, Feb. 7. The carjacked 2007 Lincoln sedan he was driving was reportedly carjacked on Sunday, Feb. 4.

According to investigators, Jemison was also arrested in October 2023 for driving a carjacked Volkswagen. A loaded pistol was found under the front passenger seat of that vehicle, as well. For the crime involving the Volkswagen, Jemison was charged with vehicle theft and unlawful gun possession by a convicted felon. The vehicle theft charge was dismissed in January.
At the time of his arrest Wednesday afternoon, Jemison was free on bond on the gun charge stemming from his October 2023 arrest. He was also free on bond in connection with a December 2023 arrest on charges of domestic assault and resisting arrest, police said.
