An investigation is underway after two teenagers were killed in the parking lot of an East Nashville middle school, according to WSMV.
The incident took place around 7 p.m. on Thursday at Meigs Middle Magnet School. No students were at the school when the shooting happened.
Upon arrival, Metro Police located the two teens who had been shot. One was pronounced dead at the scene. The second was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died from his injuries.
Metro Police say the shooting was captured on the school’s security cameras. The footage showed the two victims entering the parking lot in a white sedan and another car pulling up a couple of minutes later. News 2 reports two men then exited the second vehicle and got into the back seat of the white car. Multiple shots were fired before the two men got out of the back seat, went back into their car, and fled the scene.
Those two suspects have not been taken into custody.
