The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has released the list of nominees for the 2024 class. Among the nominees is Peter Frampton, a musician based in Nashville. This is Frampton’s first nomination, as per the eligibility criteria which requires an artist to have their first commercial recording released at least 25 years before the nomination year.

There are 15 nominees in total, with 10 of them being first-time nominees. The first-time nominees include Mariah Carey, Cher, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Kool & the Gang, Lenny Kravitz, Oasis, Sinéad O’Connor, Ozzy Osbourne, and Sade. The final inductees will be announced in late April 2024.

Frampton, who received recognition at the Music City Walk of Fame in 2011, recently worked with Dolly Parton on her new album, Rockstar, which was released in November 2023. Frampton contributed to two songs on the album.

In 2023, Frampton performed at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, alongside fellow musicians Sheryl Crow and Stevie Nicks, both from Nashville.
