A fresh start: Midstate animal rescue cares for 85 dogs saved from suspected puppy mill

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) – Dozens of dogs and puppies saved from a suspected puppy mill in North Carolina are now being care for at an animal rescue center outside Nashville. A total of 214 dogs were rescued from the suspected commercial dog breeding facility in Chatham County, North Carolina. The dogs and puppies, mostly miniature schnauzers and schnauzer mixes, were taken away from “deplorable conditions,” Animal Rescue Corps (ARC) reports.
