‘Probably end up moving’: Nashville mother frightened after rapid-gunfire outside her home

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A mother said she may be forced to find a new place to live unless her building does something about the frequent gunfire she claims is happening in the Nashboro Village area.

Sable Greenfield was walking to the car with her 3-year-old daughter when rapid-fire gunshots echoed across the parking lot.

“We were just locking the door. I’m usually looking at my surroundings making sure no one’s just like around,” explained Greenfield. “All of a sudden, just heard like five gunshots, and we were just kind of like frozen.”

The terrifying moment was captured on video. In the video, you can see Greenfield walking with her daughter toward the car. The pair were on the way to pick up ice cream when she heard the gunshots.

“Me and my daughter just stood there frozen, and she asked me, ‘Mommy, are we going to die? Are we going to get shot, like are the bad men coming?’ I just feel like she shouldn’t be exposed to things like that,” said Greenfield. “To actually be there and it’s like right outside it’s just, I don’t know, you just freeze up sometimes.”
