Family looking for answers after loved one killed in road rage incident

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police are looking for the person responsible for shooting a Nashville man during a road rage incident in Raleigh Monday night.

Police confirmed that Frank Platt, 74, was shot during a road rage incident on Coleman Road just before 8 p.m. He was taken to the hospital but unfortunately did not survive.

“We were always able to converse in multiple ways, but it always came down to we’re drinking Miller Lite together,” Platt’s friend, Greg ‘Woody’ Wood said.

Platt’s loved ones described him as a fun-loving community leader who loved to travel.

Friends like Wood said to know Platt was to love him.

Frank’s brother, Malcolm, described him as an optimist who was one of a kind and always found the good in people.

In fact, Malcolm said that’s what one of their last conversations was about.

“I told him that I wish that I shared his faith in humanity, but I don’t,” Malcolm Platt said. “And if he wasn’t careful, he was going to end up dead, and that happened.
