Bicyclist seriously injured in hit-and-run crash on Charlotte Avenue

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Nashville authorities are searching for a driver who allegedly fled after hitting a bicyclist overnight in the Midtown area.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD), the crash happened at approximately 12:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1 at the intersection of Charlotte Avenue and 31 st Avenue North.

The bicyclist suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital, officials said.

An emblem that belonged to the vehicle involved in the crash was reportedly found at the scene.

According to MNPD, officers are searching to see if any nearby businesses have video of the incident.
