3.8 magnitude earthquake shook northwest Tennessee

RIDGELY, Tenn. (WTVA) – A 3.8 magnitude earthquake shook northwest Tennessee early Thursday morning. The quake happened at 3:19, approximately 4 miles south of Ridgely, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). It originated 4.5 miles down into the Earth. That level of magnitude is considered minor.
