2 found dead in North Nashville home

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two people were found dead overnight inside a home along Cato Road, officials said.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD), officers were sent to the 4000 block of Cato Road just before 2 a.m. on Saturday, June 29 after receiving reports that a man had assaulted a woman and pointed a gun at her.

Then, police said they received a call from another individual around 2 a.m. stating that a man had shot a woman and then himself.

Authorities reported a man and woman were both pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding their deaths remain under investigation.

Homicide and Domestic Violence detectives reportedly responded to the scene to investigate and interview a potential witness.
