Chaos in Downtown Nashville: Man Arrested for Vandalism and Threats

In the early hours of Wednesday morning, chaos erupted at the JW Marriott in downtown Nashville. Jack Campitelli, 58, was arrested for throwing chairs from a hotel balcony and making threats against political figures. According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, an officer was flagged down by a hotel employee who reported that Campitelli had vandalized the property by hurling chairs from a balcony onto the sidewalk below.

Security footage confirmed the destructive actions. Despite being asked to leave, Campitelli refused, ranting about former President Donald Trump and other political figures. His outbursts continued at the police station, where he declared, “Trump needs to die because he was a liar.”

The Secret Service was notified of the threats, reflecting the severity of the situation. Campitelli faces charges of misdemeanor disorderly conduct, vandalism, and trespassing.
