NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities responded to a shooting near Percy Priest Lake that left one teen critically injured on Monday night.

The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) responded to a call outside the Mapco on Smith Springs Road just after 7 p.m. There, they discovered a 17-year-old boy who had been shot at least once in the abdomen, resulting in serious injuries.
Officers on scene told News 2 that they are still trying to gather witnesses. There is no information on a suspect at this time.
The teen was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC). His condition is not known at this time.
