Brad Paisley’s ‘Still Got It’ As He Debuts New Song at People’s Choice Country Awards

Country music fans were more than happy to share their thrilled reactions to Brad Paisley’s performance when the country crooner took the stage at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards (PCCA) on Thursday, Sept. 26.

The 51-year-old surprised fans by debuting his brand-new song live at the second annual awards show. He appeared onstage about 90 minutes into the two-hour ceremony to sing “Truck Still Works,” a song slated for release on Friday, Sept. 27.

The “He Didn’t Have to Be” singer wore his trademark cream-colored cowboy hat while onstage, which he paired with dark-wash denim jeans and a black T-shirt. In addition to singing the lead vocals of the forthcoming single, Paisley also jammed along on a blue guitar for the performance, which generated a huge round of applause from those who were at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tenn., to attend the awards show in person.

Country music fans watching the show at home were quick to share their feedback on Paisley’s performance on social media. Most noted how excited they were to see Paisley return to an awards show stage as they declared he had knocked the performance out of the park.
