Trade in those wide brim felt hats and cowboy boots, ladies. Some rain boots and rain jacket will suit you just fine as you soak up the aesthetic of a Hozier concert in the rain.
Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival is delayed but still on, as of Saturday morning, despite heavy rain Friday. But you should be prepared for the mud as the remnants of Post-Tropical Cyclone Helene finally move out of Tennessee.
Festival organizers announced Saturday morning that the festival would push back its start by two hours due to rain , with gates opening at 2 p.m. Those with parking passes can access parking lots at 1 p.m.
“We experienced a great deal of rain yesterday and we are doing everything we can to prepare the site for the festival,” festival organizers said in an Instagram post around 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
On Friday, Helene dropped over 4 inches of rain around Middle Tennessee, and forced evacuations in East Tennessee amid dangerous flooding. The rain in Franklin and the surrounding areas, while not severe, is expected to persist into Sunday.
