At least 2 injured after robbery attempt in South Nashville: Police

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A robbery attempt in South Nashville sent two people to the hospital Tuesday night, Metro Nashville police said.

Officers were called to Charles E. Davis Boulevard and Green Street around 7:45 p.m. after shots were fired.

Officials said a male suspect approached another man and pulled out a gun, requesting the victim remove his clothes, to which he complied. When the suspect became distracted, the victim reportedly pulled a gun out of his pants and shot the suspect twice.

In the midst of the gunfire, a person was allegedly struck by a bullet that ricocheted. They left the scene and traveled to the hospital on their own.

The suspect was transported from the scene to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
