Two Nashville teens charged in July 26 fatal shooting

Two Nashville teens are charged in connection to the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy July 26 in Old Hickory.

Nashville police said one teen, now 18, was 17 at the time of the shooting. He was arrested Thursday morning for driving without a license and remained in custody.

The second teen, arrested Friday, was taken into custody on Neelys Bend Road.

The two are charged in juvenile court with homicide.

Police said in a news release Friday Caleb Womack, 17, was found in the living room struck by gunfire that came from the roadway outside a duplex on Bryan Street in Old Hickory. Police said the shooting was targeted.

Womack was transported to Skyline Medical Center where he died.
