Greg Locke of Global Vision Church explains why they are still in the tent

Mount Juliet, Tennessee – Greg Locke had words for his congregation on Sunday (Oct. 27). The pastor of Global Vision Bible Church addressed rumors about their proposed new location before getting into his sermon.

“I lost a 32-year friendship over people that (sic) are in this room right now,” Locke shared with his congregants. “I have the recorded audio conversations of people saying some of the craziest things about me and my wife in this church. ‘Well, you know, the reason why we’ve not been able to close on Love’s Way is because Pastor Locke stole all the building fund money to buy a $1.6 million house.’Let me tell you something. Not only is that a lie, that is slanderous.”

Greg Locke announced plans to move his church from its Mount Juliet’s location to Lebanon in August. The celebrity pastor had been engrossed in a battle with the neighbors for years due to complaints about the noise levels coming from Global Vision during church services.

The director of Wilson County Development Services also sued Greg Locke and Global Vision Church alleging years of noise complaints and zoning issues. In the suit, the church was required to either bring the property into compliance or “remove all buildings from the property.”
