NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 24-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the death of a young mother in a crash earlier this year on Interstate 24.
Metro police reported 23-year-old Olivia Taylor was a passenger in a car that “appeared to be racing another vehicle” on I-24 West at Briley Parkway in South Nashville on July 7.

According to court documents, Taylor’s mother said she received notifications her daughter’s phone was traveling at speeds of 115 miles per hour, came to an abrupt stop and was still on the interstate.
The Altima appeared to be racing another vehicle when it “overshot the exit ramp to Briley Parkway North, and lost control, eventually coming to a rest on the other side of the on ramp.” Taylor was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) where she died, officials said.
Taylor was reportedly at a party in Smyrna before the crash happened.
According to an arrest report, 24-year-old Sedasja Lester owned the Nissan Altima and 24-year-old Tareeq Harris was the driver.
