2 shot in South Nashville apartment following argument, police say

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An investigation is underway after two men were injured in a Saturday afternoon shooting inside a South Nashville apartment, according to law enforcement.

Metro Nashville dispatch said the incident was reported at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16 from the 300 block of Plus Park Boulevard.

A detective from the Metro Nashville Police Department told News 2 an altercation between a 43-year-old man and a 45-year-old man started in the parking lot, adding that it “sounds like it was a disagreement about property that was picked up.” The argument reportedly moved up to an apartment belonging to one of the men.

According to the investigator, there was a fight inside the apartment, at which point “shots were fired one way, shots were returned back,” and one man was struck in the stomach while the other was hit in the leg.

The individual who allegedly confronted the resident of the apartment where the shooting occurred went down a floor to someone else’s apartment. The detective said the occupant of that second apartment — who only brought the man inside until officers arrived — is cooperating with law enforcement.
