NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A mother is waiting for her daughter’s organs to be donated after police said a drunk driver hit her while she was crossing the street.
Known by her family as the life of the party, 33-year-old Keanna Morris was a mother to two boys. She herself was one of five siblings. She was creative and loved spending time outdoors hiking and staying active.
Her mom, Karla Dockery-Morris, told News 2 that she had so much more life to live.

“I just can’t fathom any of this right now,” Dockery-Morris said.
She was hit and killed while crossing the street in South Nashville early Sunday morning — 100 feet from a crosswalk. Officials said the crash happened around 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17, near the intersection of Fairfield Avenue and Lafayette Street.
“Another person picked up the phone and said, ‘Man, this woman just got hit by a car,’” Dockery-Morris said.
Dockery-Morris told News 2 that her daughter suffered multiple pelvic fractures as well as a broken leg, and her spine was detached at the neck. Doctors pronounced her dead due to severe brain damage. Dockery-Morris explained that, even if she had survived, she would have been paralyzed from the neck down.
