NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – More than 2,100 people turned out for this year’s Music City Turkey Trot , ready to walk and run through the heart of downtown Nashville on Thanksgiving Day.
According to a release from Run Nash, the event on Thursday, Nov. 28 featured a 1-mile course and 5K course that welcomed trotters of all ages and experience levels, as well as four-legged friends who trotted in the inaugural Music City Doggie Dash. Both courses started and ended in Nissan Stadium, but they took participants on a journey through iconic Nashville areas, including over Gateway Bridge.

Run Nash said the event turned up impressive results across the board. Robert Andwood became the men’s 5K champion after completing the 3.1 miles in 16 minutes and 22 seconds, with Joshua Novotny finishing second and Chatham Anderson third. Meanwhile, Jennifer Malavolta led the women’s 5K course, finishing in 19 minutes and 36 seconds, followed by Jadyn Zdanavage in second place and Alyssa Jochen in third place.
