Mother of truck driver found dead finds some comfort in suspects’ arrests

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A mother has taken some comfort in knowing that two people are behind bars in connection with her son’s murder.

In January, 37-year-old trucker David White was found shot to death outside an East Nashville gas station. Even though it took nearly a year to make the arrests, David’s mother Rosemary White said she wept tears of joy when she learned news of the arrests.

“I didn’t feel like they should be out walking around enjoying their life and he could not,” Rosemary said.

Rosemary told News 2 that on Jan. 7, her son was on the road and pulled over at a gas statin for the night. An employee at the station found him unresponsive in the cab of his rig the next morning. A manager at his company had to make the heartbreaking call.

“When they called and they hadn’t heard from him, automatically it was just a feeling in my stomach and my heart,” Rosemary said. “…I was crying, she was crying, so KA Logistics — they’re all right with me.”
