Abandoned home damaged in North Nashville fire

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Crews are investigating what led to a vacant home catching on fire Friday morning just northwest of downtown Nashville.

Personnel with the Nashville Fire Department were sent to the 700 block of 26th Avenue North at approximately 4:45 a.m. to respond to reports of a residential fire.

Flames and smoke were reportedly seen coming from the home. At scene, officials said the home was abandoned and there were no injuries reported.

More than dozen units were sent to the home to assist in extinguishing the blaze.
