FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) — Several law enforcement agencies across multiple counties responded to crashes Monday evening.
Several crashes happened on Interstate 40, including an overturned vehicle at mile marker 198.6 reported at 7:11 p.m. Another multi-vehicle crash also happened at mile marker 200.8 at 7:40 p.m., according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT).

Erin Zeigler with TDOT posted about a crash that shut down all of Interstate 840 West. Traffic was being diverted at mile marker 33.4 at Peytonsville Road then at Arno Road at exit 37. As of 9:38 p.m., the incident marker was lifted from TDOT’s SmartWay map.
Zeigler added TDOT crews treated several areas on Interstate 40, Interstate 65 and Interstate 840, encouraging drivers to “use extra caution” Monday night.
The Franklin Police Department and the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) responded to a “crash involving eight vehicles” Monday evening. Franklin police posted to social media about the crash shortly before 8 p.m., stating that Interstate 65 South has shut down south of the McEwen exit “due to a traffic crash involving eight vehicles.”
